Board’s Honey Farm – Northern Nectars Inc
Since 1974 the Board family has been perfecting their northern Ontario wildflower honey, beeswax, propolis, pollen and venom offerings. Their dedication to wholesome ingredients has inspired a variety of delicious culinary delights, warm glow candles, honeybee based nutritional supplements and a series of nourishing skin care choices that promise satisfaction.
Eating a modest amount of honey is excellent for building allergy anti-bodies as it contains pollen from nectaring plants. Try to consume honey from your local beekeeper. It takes 10 pounds of honey eaten by honeybees to make 1 pound of beeswax which makes beeswax a very nutrient dense ingredient excellent for nourishing the skin. When you burn a beeswax candle negative ions are produced which are attracted to positive ions in the environment, think electrical items, this neutralizes the ions creating a less stressful environment for our bodies. Beeswax vapours also cool quickly. As they drop to the floor they pick up dust particles and allergens which creates better air quality.

I am Jaimie Board, a second generation beekeeping. I also accomplished a B.A. in Art History/Anthropology at the University of Toronto. My parents Ann and Stefan moved to Restoule from Hamilton when I was 3 years old along with my little sister and 2 hives of bees for our farm. My parents were seeking a wholesome, back to the land life. There was lots of gardening, preserving and homesteading activities. This laid the foundation for my earth loving self.
My business and beekeeping skills drifted into my life through practice, observation, books, courses and industry conferences. The beginning of the farm was simple, however, over the years it has grown with the generosity of many amazing helpers and customers alike. The honeybee colony is an incredibly complex organism that continues to challenge and inspire me to understand more and do better. Other parts of my experience include raising my 2 children, practicing yoga, breath work and producing Encaustic paintings which utilize beeswax as a paint medium – lots of fun!

Hutchinson Maple Syrup
Online: hutchinsonmaplesyrup.square.site

Michele O’Sullivan: Our maple syrup farm, Hutchinson Maple Syrup, is family owned and operated by myself, my husband, Doug, and my father-in-law, Orval. When my husband and I bought our property in 2011 there was a small sugarshack located on the property and it was not long before the evaporator was fired up to produce sweet maple syrup. What started as a hobby of 300 taps flowing into buckets has now grown to over 1600 taps flowing through a high vacuum system right into our new Sugarshack. We have also been growing Christmas Trees since 2020, and expect to be open for “Cut Your Own” within the next 2 years. This is what we call our “retirement plan”.
Levitate Foods
Product name: Lupin Tempeh
Levitate’s lupin tempeh is a fermented protein alternative that is impressively high in protein and fibre. The combination of lupin and hemp provides an excellent balance of the essential amino acids, while the fermentation makes all of the nutrients more available for our bodies to absorb and use. We’re proud to introduce North America’s first whole lupin-based product—your exclusive chance to discover this overlooked superfood. With 11g of fibre and 13g of protein per serving, it’s designed to keep you full, energized, and satisfied. Developed through collaboration between a Registered Dietitian and a Professional Chef, this product delivers exceptional taste without compromising your health.

I’m Adrienne, the founder of Levitate.
I started Levitate with a mission to help reduce rates of chronic disease in Canada by creating minimally processed foods that make it easier — and more delicious — to eat more legumes.
My inspiration came from home. One day, my mom brought home a jar of classic lupini beans (as we call them in my culture). When I turned the jar around and saw the incredible nutrition packed inside, I couldn’t believe this powerhouse food wasn’t already a staple here.
That moment sparked something — I knew lupin could answer so many of the concerns people have about plant-based eating. So, I set out to bring this amazing legume to market in a way that’s simple, nourishing, and satisfying.
I can’t wait for you to try my creation. Buon appetito!
